Georgetown ISD uses the SMARTTag system to ensure that students are on the correct bus, get dropped off at the correct location and released to approved parents/guardians. It also has a built-in tracking system so that parents can track their student’s location. SMARTTag notifications are activated by a student entering or exiting a bus, and the transportation team can also send notifications to parents through the system to alert you of delays.

If you have a bus rider and haven’t yet downloaded the SMARTTag app, we encourage you to do so today.

Every bus rider is required to utilize a SMARTTag device. Learn more about how to request a SMARTTag for your student.  

Elementary requests can be made via this form.  
Secondary students should request a SMARTTag through their home campus.
