GISD to Celebrate Walk and Roll to School Day October 7

On October 7, elementary students in Georgetown will join those from all over the U.S. walking, biking, or rolling to school. The annual event aims to increase student physical activity, reduce traffic congestion, and help the environment.

The event is being organized by Georgetown ISD in partnership with the City of Georgetown. School staff and members of the Georgetown Police and Fire departments will be in school zones to greet families and promote safety.
