GISD Board Approves Meal Prices for the 2025-26 School Year

The GISD Board approved meal prices for the 2025-26 school year at a July board meeting. New meal prices include a 10-cent increase on student meals. 

The new meal prices are listed below:

Student Paid Meals
Elementary Breakfast – $2.05
Secondary Breakfast – $2.30
Elementary Lunch – $3.30
Secondary Lunch – $3.55

Student Reduced Meals
Elementary Breakfast – Free
Secondary Breakfast – Free
Elementary Lunch – Free (starting September 1)
Secondary Lunch – Free (starting September 1)

*Reduced breakfast will be free to all students starting on the first day of school.  Reduced lunch will be 40 cents from the first day of school, August 14th, until Friday, August 29th.  Starting on September 1st, reduced lunch will also be free to all qualifying students.

Adult Meals
Breakfast – $3.70
Lunch – $4.65

Ice cream is available at all campuses starting at $1.75, though certain days may apply.
