Georgetown ISD Announces New Transportation Director
The Georgetown Independent School District named Joshua Albro as the new Director of Transportation during the June 16 board meeting.
With nearly two decades of experience in transportation, Albro brings a deep understanding of logistics, leadership, and student safety to the role. Albro most recently served in leadership roles at Midway ISD and Burnet CISD, where he guided transportation and operations.
“Josh brings valuable experience and a track record of operational excellence that will benefit our students and families,” said Georgetown ISD Superintendent Dr. Devin Padavil. “We’re excited to welcome him to the team.”
As Director of Transportation, Albro will oversee daily transportation and vehicle maintenance operations for Georgetown ISD, including route planning, fleet management, and safety protocols to ensure students are transported safely and efficiently every day. His leadership will be instrumental as the district continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of its community.
“I’m excited to join Georgetown ISD and support the district’s mission of inspiring and empowering every learner,” Albro said. “Transportation plays a big role in that mission, and I look forward to building strong relationships with our team, students, and families.”
Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, their teenage daughter, and their golden retriever, preferably somewhere in the Rocky Mountains when their schedules allow.
Albro officially begins his role on July 7.
