Georgetown ISD Announces New Director of Multilingual Services
The Georgetown Independent School District announced Erica Galindo as the new Director of Multilingual Services at a July board meeting.
Galindo enters this role with nearly 30 years of public education experience serving multilingual and bilingual communities in Texas. Galindo previously served in Georgetown ISD as a bilingual teacher, department lead, and ESL instructional coach. She returns to Georgetown after her most recent role as multilingual education director in Manor ISD.
Galindo holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Bilingual Education from Texas State University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar State University.
Galindo is a Georgetown resident of more than 20 years, and her daughter is an East View High School graduate.
“Stepping into this role feels like coming home,” Galindo said. “I am honored to return and support our multilingual students and their families.”
Galindo will assume her new role immediately in preparation for the upcoming school year.
