New legislation requires families to Opt-In for students to receive campus-based health services

In accordance with Texas Senate Bill 12, Georgetown ISD is providing this annual notice of the campus-based health services available to students.

As a parent or guardian, you must complete the 2025–26 Health Services Annual Consent in our SNAP Parent Portal to opt in to these services including:

  • Consent for treatment; and

  • Consent to administer medications

Details were emailed to families on August 11. Parents can login to the SNAP Parent Portal at www.studentehr.com.

If You Opt In:

  • The campus nurse may assess and provide care if your child becomes ill or injured, helping them return to learning when possible.

If You Choose not to give parental permission:

  • The campus nurse may not assess or treat your child except in a life-threatening emergency.

  • For minor injuries (e.g., scraped knee), a parent/guardian will be contacted to determine care.

  • For suspected illness, a parent/guardian must pick up the student and may only return with a doctor’s note confirming they are not ill or contagious.
