GISD Announces Megan Chambley as New Principal at Frost Elementary

The Georgetown Independent School District is pleased to announce  Megan Chambley as the new principal at Frost Elementary School for the 2023-24 school year. 

Chambley has been serving as the assistant principal at Frost Elementary School since January 2022. Chambley enters this new role with 11 years of experience in public school education as a teacher and administrator. Megan’s professional experience includes serving as a summer school principal at the elementary level and serving on the district’s attendance action and safety grant committees. 

Chambley has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA, a master’s degree in special education from the University of Texas and a principal certificate from Lamar University. 

In her new role, Chambley will be responsible for leading and supporting the mission of GISD while advancing Frost Elementary School toward the GISD vision, including aligning systems and processes to support the implementation of the district’s strategic direction.

She will begin her new role on July 10, 2023.

“I’m incredibly honored to continue to serve our Frost community in this role,” said Chambley, “And remain committed to partnering with families and staff on continued student growth and success.

Chambley and her husband Nick, a special education teacher at Benold Middle School, have three children including a daughter who attends the district’s Early Learning Center.
