Georgetown ISD is excited to continue its tradition of celebrating Veterans Day this year on Wednesday, November 11. Campuses across the district have made plans to fill this special day with parades, performances, ceremonies, and more.
The public is invited to attend the following celebrations:
All events will be held on November 11 unless stated otherwise. Please keep in mind that this is not a complete list of events. We encourage you to check back frequently as we continue to add campus events.
Ford Elementary Performance & Recognition
8:30 am in the Ford Elementary Cafeteria, followed by a parade at 9:15 am in the bus lane
Frost Elementary Student Performance
5:30 pm in the Frost Elementary Gym
Purl Elementary Performance and Assembly
9 am and 1:15 pm in the Purl Elementary Cafeteria
Both opportunities are open to the public. East View HS Colorguard will join Purl students for the 1:15 pm performance.
San Gabriel Elementary Drive-through Parade
8 am in the San Gabriel Elementary Car Line
Forbes Middle School Veterans Day Ceremony
10-10:30 am in the Forbes Middle School Small Gym
Wagner Middle School Veterans Day Ceremony
10:52-11:30 am in the Wagner Middle School Gym
Georgetown High School Staff Recognition and Performance by Choir, Orchestra and Band
7:30-8:15 am in front of Georgetown High School
Georgetown High School Band and Choir Performance in Sun City
Music will begin at 10:45 am at the Veterans Memorial Plaza, 2 Texas Drive
Visitors to any campus for Veterans Day programs are encouraged to arrive early. All guests attending indoor activities are required to check in at the front desk and will need an ID.
