Credit by Exam Testing Window

Credit by Exam is offered by Georgetown ISD for enrolled students in grades Kindergarten-12. GISD offers exams free of charge to students. The purpose of CBE testing is for acceleration (students wishing to test out of a grade or course without having prior instruction), verification (verifying credit from homeschool or non-accredited private/public school), or recovery of credit for a course in which the student has had prior instruction.

The next Credit by Exam testing window is November 2-13, 2026. The registration deadline is October 23, 2026. Students earning credit during this window will be eligible for a schedule change effective for the 2027-2028 school year.
