Bridges and GISD Culinary Partner to Host Community Dinner Event

Bridges Culinary will partner with GISD Culinary to host the first annual “Everyone Has a Seat at the Table” dinner. The event invites guests to enjoy an evening of cuisine, conversation, and community in support of the GISD Bridges Culinary program.

“This event is an exciting collaboration between Bridges and CTE Culinary Arts that celebrates student opportunities, future readiness and inclusion,” Bridges Instructor Megan Ross said. “We hope the community will join us for a delicious meal and learn about how Bridges supports our students in chasing their culinary dreams.”

The GISD Bridges program supports students with disabilities by helping them apply the skills they have learned in school to their adult life. Bridges services are designed to increase student independence and functional skills needed to meet daily living requirements as they transition out of public education.

Bridges opened their culinary program in 2024 in an effort to connect students to job opportunities specific to the culinary industry.

The community is invited to attend “Everyone Has a Seat at the Table” on Wednesday, November 11 from 6-8pm at the GISD Future Ready Complex.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased here. Proceeds benefit the Bridges Culinary program.
