2025-2026 Adjusted Calendar for Elementary Campuses

New Daily Schedule

Beginning next school year, our elementary campuses will have an additional 45 minutes added to the master schedule for teacher planning and collaboration every two weeks. To accommodate for this change, elementary school schedules will increase daily by 3 minutes:

• 7:40 am Start time daily (no change)

• 3:03 pm Dismissal time daily (currently 3 pm)

These small changes help ensure that appropriate time is available for high-quality instruction and transition throughout the day, without having to add additional days to our academic calendar. 

New Early Release Days for Elementary Students

To support this focus on collaboration and planning, we are adding four early release days for elementary campuses only. On these dates, elementary students will be released at 12:55 p.m:

• August 29, 2025

• October 31, 2025

• December 5, 2025

• February 6, 2026

Childcare Support for Families

We understand that schedule changes can affect family routines. To help, the YMCA will offer childcare on all early release days – including the newly added ones – for both:

• Families already enrolled in YMCA programs; and

• Families who only need care on early release days.
