Join GCCMA for Black History Month 2026

The Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association (GCCMA) warmly invites the community to join Black History Month celebrations throughout the month of February. This year’s events offer meaningful opportunities to reflect, learn, and connect through history, culture, the arts, and community.

Upcoming events include:

February 6 - March 8, 2026
The Mountaintop – A powerful stage production depicting the life, humanity, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., inviting audiences to reflect on leadership, faith, and the enduring call for justice.  Playing the entire month of February at the Palace Theatre -  Doug Smith Performance Center - Location: 206  W Second Street, Georgetown, TX.  For tickets, click here: Ludus - Georgetown Palace Theatre.

February 7 - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Shotgun House Museum Tours – Educational tours and historical exhibits highlighting African American history, family stories, and community legacy in Georgetown - Location:  801 West Street, Georgetown,  TX. Tours are free.
