From Wilco: Williamson County EMS Marks 50 Years with 5K and Children’s Fun Run
Williamson County EMS is celebrating five decades of service with a community run at River Ranch County Park on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The anniversary event will feature a 5K Run/Walk and a Children’s 1K Fun Run for ages 6 to 12. Packet pickup and race day registration will open at 7:30 a.m. The Children’s Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9:30 a.m. The River Ranch’s day-use fees are included in the registration cost. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to avoid lines at the park’s entry.
Participants who register by Oct. 15 will receive a race T-shirt and medal. The registration fee is $35 for adults and $5 for the children’s 1K fun run. Proceeds will benefit the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. The center coordinates investigations, offers counseling and connects families with critical services to help children heal and move forward.
The 5K is open to runners, walkers and spectators. The event is designed to highlight community spirit and the resilience of EMS professionals who have served the county since 1975.
The celebration will be held at River Ranch County Park, 2100 County Road 279 in Liberty Hill.
