From the Williamson County Museum: The American Revolution Experience exhibit
America will celebrate 250 years of independence in 2026. What was it like for ordinary people in 1776, as tensions mounted across the 13 colonies? The American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit was created to bring to life the diverse viewpoints and experiences of those who witnessed the dawn of a new nation. Visitors can hear the stories of drummer boys, military map makers and other ordinary people affected by the Revolutionary War using touch-screen kiosks, stories, drawings, technology and artifacts.
The exhibit is hosted by the Williamson Museum from Dec. 10 to Dec. 20, 2025, and will then be divided and shared at the Georgetown Public Library and the Round Rock Public Library through January 2.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Daniel Coleman Chapter, Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the oldest DAR chapter in the county, celebrating 100 years on Dec. 14, 2025.
