Statewide Drill for Local Public Warning Systems Next Week

Georgetown ISD will be participating in a statewide drill that is testing emergency alert systems. This test is happening in coordination with the Texas Department of Emergency Management and local agencies.

As part of the test, Georgetown ISD will send an alert through ParentSquare, the district’s mass communication platform. The message will clearly state this is a test and no further action is needed.

Testing will occur between 10 am and 12:30 pm across the region on Thursday, April 2. Georgetown ISD will send its test alert message at 12:15 pm that day.

We’re sharing this information to keep you informed, as you may receive alerts from various agencies where you live or work that day.
